Arturo Vargas

Computational and Applied Mathematician

About

I currently work at Lawrence Livermore National Lab (LLNL) as a computer scientist. At LLNL I contribute to RAJA, a collection of C++ software abstractions which enable architecture portability. In addition, I work on optimizing multi-physics codes for next generation computer architectures. Prior to my employment at LLNL I earned a Ph.D. in computational and applied mathematics from Rice University under the direction of Tim Warburton and Adrianna Gillman.
